Sir Galahad has just begun his epic journey to find the Grail, but first he needs a shield. He eventually manages to find the sacred shield of Sir Balan. Upon this shield is the shape of a cross made with the blood of Sir Balan. Sir Galahad finds a mysterious white knight who tells him the story of the shield, and of the Grail. Sir Galahad then saves the life of Sir Melyas, and has a certain adventure at the Castle of Maidens.
